About

about nathan: Nathan has more interests and abilities than I can easily write in a paragraph, so I’m going to hit on the big points and let you determine the rest from his entries. Currently a Ph.D student in the field of computer science, the bulk of his day is spent researching, reading articles, and creating solutions for problems. He always makes time for his family, and on the rare chance that he has free time, he typically spends it playing Halo3 or watching college football. Nathan has been playing the guitar for seven years. His weapons of choice are a beautiful Eastman guitar and an iMac named Alfred. Expect to see entries about graduate school, productivity, guitar stuff, and his take on life.

about audrey: I have a penchant for danger! Actually, that’s not true at all. In fact, I really enjoy sitting with a good book and cup of tea, indulging myself with delicious food and climate-controlled spaces, and imagining what it would be like to have a penchant for danger. For occupation, I want to be a mommy and a novelist, and I’m on my way towards both. I find exercise incredibly disagreeable, and I try to spend as little time as possible engaged in that horrific and outdated practice. I have love-love relationships with the color pink and most foods, and a large portion of my time goes into increasing the world’s pinkness and finding new ways to make food taste good. There’s no telling what I’ll come up with for this blog.

about us: We first met in 2001 at a church function, and following the friends-first, something-more-later plan, we started dating six months after. I was a senior in high school, and Nathan was only a sophomore. To be honest, I never would have guessed at the time that we would still be together today, though Nathan will tell you that he knew all along. In June of 2006, we were married, and we are expecting our first child (a boy!) in April of 2010.

We may talk religion, and here’s our main schtick: we are passionately in love with Jesus Christ, and the greatest gift we’ve ever received is the freedom that comes with being a child of God.
